SCOPE AND NATURE OF COLLECTION

The collections maintained in the LRC are those of educational value and those that support the instructional goals of St. Thomas High School. The materials, in varying format and subject matter, are those appropriate for the age, emotional and social development, ability and reading levels and learning styles of the students.

CHALLENGED & QUESTIONED MATERIALS POLICY

We respect and uphold the fundamental freedom of expression - the right to publish diverse opinion and the right to unrestricted access to these opinions - as guaranteed by the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution. The fundamental policy in the development of the collections is responsible selection, not censorship. Where diverse opinions are available, the Catholic point of view is always present, presented and promoted.
